Hello and welcome :)
This is Kumar Anurag. I have secured AIR 48 in Civil Service Examination 2018.
Through this platform, I would be sharing the preparation strategy and notes for the Civil Services Examination(CSE) and would also highlight the various shades of the UPSC journey that a candidate goes through during the preparation.
I was born and brought up in Katihar, Bihar. Later I moved to Siliguri and Delhi for my schooling.
I have done my graduation in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce in 2014 and post graduation from Delhi School of Economics in the year 2016. I prepared for the examination after my masters and secured rank 677 in CSE 2017. Meanwhile, I had also appeared for Indian Economic Service Examination 2018 in which I was ranked 7th.
However I had always aspired for IAS and the journey eventually ended with AIR 48 in CSE 2018.
I was a resident at Hamdard Study Circle while writing CSE 2018.
In this digital era, the preparation for CSE has largely shifted to online world. I myself had benefited tremendously from the online blogs and videos of various previous toppers. Hence it comes very naturally to me to create a platform to facilitate your journey towards success in CSE.

My marksheet for CSE 2018:
Sir did you join any coaching?
ReplyDeleteAlso till what extend should one depend on a coaching, especially for Economics optional?
Also kindly elaborate on how did you bring about the shift in your attitude?
No, I did not join any classroom coaching. But I had joined test series at institutes to practice tests. I would recommend that coaching is not needed.
DeleteFor difficult topics, you can refer to free videos on Youtube.
For Economics, it was mainly self preparation and I had joined test series at the later stage for self evaluation.
Could you share your Indian Economic Service Preparation Strategy in this blog by making a separate vertical.
